The post mortems of all four the members of a Bloemfontein family, who died in a family tragedy, have been completed and the police are awaiting the results.
This was confirmed by police spokesperson, Thandi Mbambo. In the meantime, the police registered a case of murder and arson.
OFM News earlier reported that the mom and her two teenagers will be buried this weekend in the Eastern Cape, according to a family friend. The bodies of the mother, Cindy Kagande, the 13-year-old Isiah, and the 17-year-old Jade Leonard were already transported to their home province. The family is reportedly planning a service in Graaff-Reinet.
The funeral arrangements for the father, Terry Kagande, is not known yet. Early indications are that he will be buried in Gauteng, where most of his family members reside.
The bodies of all four family members were found at their house in Willows in Bloemfontein. Mbambo said the bodies were found following information received by the police about a house that was burning in Victoria Road. She said in a statement the bodies of the father and mother had no visible injuries while those of the two children had several wounds.
The family tragedy has since sent shockwaves on social media with users continuing to convey their condolences.
