Cops out on bail after #BrendinHorner murder─── 07:26 Fri, 16 Jul 2021
Five police officials and two animal stock brokers who appeared before the Ladybrand Magistrate's Court in the Free State, after being arrested earlier this week on charges of stock theft, have been released on bail.
National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson, Phaladi Shuping, says accused 1 - 5 were each released on bail of R2 000. Accused 6 and 7 were granted bail of R10 000 each, and the case was postponed to 22 September for further investigation.
Shuping says there is an eighth accused who is from Lesotho whose case was postponed to 21 July for legal aid and bail information.

OFM News earlier reported Free State police spokesperson, Christopher Singo, said the arrests of these suspects followed information received after the much-publicised murder of the young farm manager, Brendin Horner, in Paul Roux in October 2020.

The suspects are facing charges of stock theft, defeating the ends of justice, and perjury.
