Former Free State Premier Ace Magashule, ten others - which include businessman Edwin Sodi and former Mangaung mayor Olly Mlamleli - and five companies stand accused. Streets have been cordoned off with barbed wire. SAPS helicopters are also monitoring the area. There is a heavy law enforcement presence with police officers and SANDF soldiers on the ground outside the court.

The media is not being allowed in court, with the SABC the only media house that received preference to cover the court case. Officials on the ground told OFM News that this is due to space constraints inside the court. It's understood that families of the accused have also applied to be part of the proceedings.
