The Ga-Segonyana Local Municipality in the Northern Cape has warned residents of planned water cuts this coming Saturday.

According to the statement issued by the local municipality, Kuruman and Wrenchville will be without water due to the required construction activities that will be taking place at the Kuruman Fire Station project. Water cuts are expected to start at 08:00 on Saturday, until 16:00.

Residents have been advised to make the necessary provisions of storing sufficient water for the duration of the water cuts. OFM News previously reported that the Northern Cape Province has completed the Ga-Mopedi bulk water project worth R15 million in the Ga-Segonyana Local Municipality. The community of Ga-Mopedi was requested to avoid vandalising the water infrastructure and also to use water sparingly, as Ga-Mopedi is a semi-arid area.
