MSDF set for a protest march Friday morning | News Article

The leaders of the Mangaung Service Delivery Forum are set to commence with a protest march on Friday morning to address service delivery issues.

According to the Chairperson of MSDF, Potso Motoko, the protest is set to take place at Paradise Hall in Bloemfontein, Free State. The march is set to address issues such as corruption, nepotism, jobs, community health workers, education, childhood development, police and military veterans matters, and small business support. OFM News previously reported on Motoko and his movement that previously threatened to disrupt elections and shut down Bloemfontein and surrounding areas if there are no positive outcomes from the ongoing negotiations with the Free State Government. This after the organisation's leaders did not receive the desired answers they were seeking from the Mangaung Metro and Premier's Office.

Motoko previously told OFM News they were not satisfied with some of the responses they received, following their meeting with Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (Cogta) in the Free State. Motoko says the agenda included the alleged tender of guns and bulletproof vests for the Mangaung Metro Police. It was agreed that it should be cancelled. However, they were not satisfied with some of the issues that included housing and service delivery.
