This after the community members came out in huge numbers to cast their votes during Monday’s local government elections.

There were long queues at both voting stations in Ritchie, where political parties were contesting for the local government elections.

Meanwhile, first-time voters in Ritchie were very excited to finally get the opportunity to make a change in their communities by voting for the candidates they have selected. Some of them went as far as getting emotional while talking about how important it was for them to be given a chance to finally exercise their democratic right by voting for their preferred candidates.

On the other end, though, the same thing couldn’t be said for the youth of Kimberley, as they have shown a lack of interest in taking part in voting in this year’s local government elections.
