ANC staff to picket over unpaid salaries | News Article

The ANC's disgruntled staff is expected to picket at the party’s offices across the country.

This follows the non-payment of their salaries over recent months. The Northern Cape ANC Provincial Secretary, Deshi Ngxanga, confirms with OFM News that indeed they have received a notice that staff will picket in the province.

The Free State ANC's Interim Provincial Committee (IPC) spokesperson, Oupa Khoabane, tells OFM News that they are still awaiting an indication.

The North West ANC IPC is yet to comment.

Meanwhile, speaking on behalf of the aggrieved workers, Mvusi Mdala tells OFM News that ANC workers will picket across the country on Monday, in demand of outstanding salaries which have not been paid for three months, to be paid with immediate effect.

"Aggrieved staff members are calling for all outstanding bonuses and annual increments to be paid with immediate effect. In addition, the ANC staff members also demand that all Provident Fund and UIF contributions that their employer has deducted, but not paid over to an insurance company and SARS, be brought up to date," he adds.

Mdala says the ANC workers are also insisting that their medical aid must be reinstated immediately and that benefits should be available now.
