This, as Rand Water will shut down water supply for 54-hours.

The shutdown, starting on Monday, comes as Rand Water is set to reduce the load on its B11 raw water pipeline, and connect it with the newly constructed B19 pipeline.

Water supply to Vereeniging, Vanderbiljpark, and all townships including Sharpeville, Sebokeng and Evaton, will experience water interruptions during this 54-hour period.

The municipality further says due to the duration of the shutdown, low laying areas may experience low pressure and water shortages.
