Storm Weather Warning issued─── 10:20 Sat, 20 Nov 2021
The South African Weather Service warns that stormy weather can occur over large parts of the summer rainfall region on Sunday, which could lead to flooding in certain areas.
Wayne Venter of the Weather Office says hail can also be expected, accompanied by stormy winds.
He says areas that can expect rain and hailstorms this afternoon and tonight are the Eastern parts of the Free State and North West, as well as south-western Limpopo and parts of Gauteng.
Precipitation of between 20mm and 40mm is expected.
Widespread rain can be expected across the country on Sunday, with the exception of the Northern Cape and Southwestern parts of the Western Cape - where it will be hot.
