This is as a result of an electric fault experienced in the Dihlabeng Local Municipality.

On Saturday, OFM News reported the municipality will be closing the water supply at noon to allow for reservoir levels to build up.

The technician team was supposed to start working on the matter at 10:00 yesterday.

Municipal spokesman Tshidiso Maitse said last week the Water Supply System is under pressure due to a pump breaking down at Soulspoort dam.

This has resulted in the treatment works operating at less than half of its capacity.

This morning, Maitse said reservoir levels have dropped drastically, and most residents will experience water pressure problems or will have no water at all.

Maintenance is underway.
