DA concerned with “inexperienced MMCs”─── 07:08 Sat, 18 Dec 2021
The Democratic Alliance (DA) is unhappy with, what it calls, an "inexperienced team" which the new Emfuleni local municipality's mayor has chosen as Members of the Mayoral Committee (MMC).
Emfuleni Mayor, Sipho Radebe, has appointed new MMC's, who the DA feels may easily be manipulated by municipal officials, given their relative inexperience in matters pertaining to local government.
The party fears these inexperienced MMC's will plunge the municipality further into dysfunction.
The DA fears that irregular, fruitless and wasteful expenditures in this administration is inevitable.
