MMM dishonours promise─── TSHEHLA KOTELI 05:34 Thu, 03 Feb 2022
The first municipality in the country to be placed under administration - Mangaung Metro Municipality - has once again dishonoured one of their many payment plans to the bulk water supplier BloemWater.
According to a letter addressed to the newly appointed Acting City Manager, Teboho Maine, the cash-strapped metro’s current account is outstanding with R338 831,422.
Should the account not be settled by 1 March, the entity will implement water restrictions to Mangaung residents.

Furthermore, the entity says it struggles to view the municipality’s payment plans with seriousness, as they have never honoured one.
The municipality is yet to respond to OFM News' inquiry.
