The Bloemfontein-based MediClinic Hospital is experiencing a communication breakdown due to a system failure.
This is according to the Patient Experience Manager of MediClinic Bloemfontein, Barbara Steenkamp, who told OFM News the system failure has led to the hospital’s telephone system shutting down.
She says the hospital will send messages to notify patients’ family members or next of kin about the issue, as they are unable to make calls due to these unfortunate circumstances. Steenkamp says they expect the problem to be resolved within the next 24 hours.
