Dealesville calls for better services─── 08:06 Tue, 15 Feb 2022
The community of Dealesville in the Free State is planning a march for Tuesday, calling for immediate action regarding the current state of service delivery.
The Tokologo Constituency Head, MPL James Letuka, and the DA's Provincial Leader, Roy Jankielsohn, say in a statement they will join the march as residents of Dealesville have been struggling for many years to get service delivery from the Tokologo Municipality.
Jankielsohn says they go days without water and road infrastructure is at its worst - adding no one is taking accountability and residents have been left to fend for themselves. Jankielsohn will be presenting a Water Status Report to the media and residents regarding reasons for ongoing poor services and suggestions for a recovery plan that has been sent to both the Premier and the MEC for Cogta.
The march, where they will be handing over a memorandum with demands to the Tokologo Municipality, is set to start at 09:00 at the car wash in Main Street and proceed to the Tokologo Municipal offices.
