Bfn school closed down by frustrated parents - VIDEO─── KEKELETSO MOSEBETSI 12:07 Fri, 25 Feb 2022
Disgruntled parents of Matla Primary School learners in Phase 6, Bloemfontein, in the Free State took to the streets on Friday morning, to raise concerns pertaining to the school.
This led to the disruption of classes and closure of the school after parents were picketing outside the school.
Dimakatso Motseki, who is one of the concerned parents, tells OFM News that there have been some alarming issues that they tried to raise with the Free State Department of Education, however, the department has not been taking them under consideration. She says they tried several times to meet with officials from the Free State Education Department with no luck.
Motseki says parents are concerned about the future of their children because the school is understaffed, it lacks resources and activities that will keep learners busy. The Free State Department of Education is yet to comment on detailed questions that OFM News has sent.
