The spokesperson of MCC, Themba Zweni, says he expects nothing less than empty promises from SOPA. He says that SOPA is just one of the events where officials meet to network and make deals that do not benefit the people of the Free State.

Zweni said this ahead of the address that is scheduled to take place in the Dr Petrus Molemela indoor sports centre in Bloemfontein. Zweni said that service delivery issues in Mangaung continue to deteriorate the city.

Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the Mangaung Service Delivery Forum (MSDF), Potso Motoko, said he expects the Free State Premier Sisi Ntombela to address issues such as unemployment, investments in small businesses, and foreign nationals who are in the country illegally.
