This is according to the NHFC CEO, Bruce Gordon, following a four-day workshop that was held across the North West Province.

Human Settlement spokesperson in the North West, Dineo Lolokwane, says that the project is aimed at empowering SMME's and other companies in the construction industry through financial opportunities. 

She says South African Women in Construction's Deputy Chairperson, Boitumelo Moretele, welcomed the good news brought by NHFC, saying women empowerment is a national call.

Lolokwane says Moretele challenged the department to fast-track women empowerment programmes. She says Moretele further requested the department to channel more projects to women so that they can also show their capabilities.
