Among the stakeholders that took part in the visit was VKB, Bonsmara SA, Bringas, the SAPS’ Stock theft unit, Lemang Agricultural Services, and veterinary services.

The purpose of the visit was to ensure that farmers can effectively look after their farms (with regards to planting and livestock).

According to the head of Agriculture at the municipality, Lebohang Moshwadiba, the farmers need to know when to vaccinate their animals.

He adds they also need to know how to register for assistance from the different stakeholders that work together with the Department of Agriculture.

Moshwadiba says most farmers have shown an interest in the programmes presented to them.

He concluded by saying the safety of farmers’ livestock is also important.
