A trial involving ten men accused of varying charges stemming from a failed cash-in-transit (CIT) heist in the North West in March 2020, will on Monday commence in the High Court sitting in Mahikeng.

The National Prosecuting Authority's (NPA) regional spokesperson, Henry Mamothame, tells OFM News that the trial involves Solomon Ngobeni and his nine co-accused, with charges ranging from murder, attempted murder, possession of dangerous firearms, and ammunition.

Mamothame says the trial will sit in the High Court following its postponement last year, after making a stint before Judge President Monica Leeuw.

The suspects were nabbed by the police following a failed cash-in-transit heist on the R503 between Lichtenburg and Mafikeng in March 2020.
