Maquassi-Hills municipal manager's contract terminated─── 17:34 Mon, 28 Mar 2022
The Maquassi-Hills local municipality in North West's Dr Kenneth Kaunda District has terminated the contract of its municipal manager.
This was on the advice of ANC national executive committee deployees, after it emerged that Jeffrey Leseisane might have had an unfair advantage.
He served as the acting municipal manager before he was permanently appointed to the position toward the end of 2021.

Allegations emerged that Leseisane locked other candidates out of the venue when interviews were held for the position.
This led to only him and one other candidate being interviewed.

OFM news also learned from a close source that some members of the interview panel were also listed as references on his CV, including then Mayor, Manini Gouse-Notwane.
The source told OFM News when opposition parties in the council refused to partake in the council sitting to terminate Leseisane’s contract, ANC councillors went ahead and voted for the termination.
Nomuthula Clearens has been appointed as the acting municipal manager.
