Deputy Minister pays visit to Port of Entry─── 14:39 Wed, 06 Apr 2022

Deputy Minister in the Presidency responsible for State Security, Zizi Kodwa, will tomorrow conduct an impromptu inspection of the Maseru Bridge Port of Entry.
This visit coincides with the planned Presidential Oversight Visit and Imbizo in the Mangaung District, which takes place this coming Friday and Saturday.
The Maseru Bridge Port of Entry is the second busiest Port of Entry in the country, which is mainly used by nationals travelling between South Africa and Lesotho for both business and private purposes.

According to a statement issued by the Presidency, the Deputy Minister will interact with various government officials stationed at the Port of Entry from State Security, Home Affairs, the SAPS, Port Health and SARS.

The Deputy Minister will also inspect the state of the infrastructure and operations, including the challenges and interventions needed to strengthen operations at the Port of Entry.
