Disgruntled residents of Letsopa near Ottosdal in the North West has on Thursday morning embarked on a protest action and closed off the R507 road.
More than 200 people have gathered at the intersection leading to the township, burning tyres and objects.
The disgruntled group says there is nepotism and corruption at a road maintenance project that is supposed to benefit locals, protest leader William Moatlhodi says they have followed the right channels to engage and the right people have ignored them.

Moatlhodi exclusively told OFM News that their intentions are to have a peaceful engagement, and should the Tswaing Local Municipality's mayor, Nora Mahlangu, come on board, all will return to normal.
Traffic has not been able to flow since 03:00. OFM News' correspondent Joba Matsheng is on the scene.
