Lights on again in Free State government building─── CATHY DLODLO 13:27 Thu, 05 May 2022
The lights in offices of hundreds of Free State government officials are eventually on again after the power to one of the biggest government buildings in Bloemfontein, the OR Tambo House, has been restored.
OFM News reported earlier that the building, which houses the Premier’s Office, has been without electricity since Saturday. The building was in the dark for days due to a technical problem.

The Public Service Association in the Free State, Lynsie Pelser, says the lights are back on, but the IT systems will only be accessed tomorrow after a major reboot. She says officials returned from a long weekend to a building with no electricity.

Centlec's Lele Mamatu previously said the building was powerless due to the breakdown of the substation that feeds the building electricity. Centlec officials have been attending to the problem since.
