Disgruntled residents of the Masilonyana Local Municipality are up in arms following water cuts.
One of the community leaders, Tshepo Maredi, alleges that Masilonyana has been without water for the past eight days.
He adds that various entities, such as schools and municipal offices among others, have been deeply affected by dry taps.
He also alleges that lack of water supply towards the end of each month has become the norm.

Maredi says the situation is volatile, as learners and community members are currently on a rampage having closed the main street in town, demanding water to be supplied immediately.
Meanwhile, municipal spokesperson Zongezile Ntjhwabule confirmed to OFM News taps have been dry for the past eight days.
Ntjhwabule says that a pipe broke at the water treatment plant which supplies water to residents of Theunissen.
He however says that the issue has been resolved, and that the process of pumping water from the treatment plant to reservoirs has already commenced.
