Vandalism leads to power outage in Galeshewe─── 15:37 Thu, 23 Jun 2022
Large parts of Galeshewe at Kimberley are without electricity due to the recent events of vandalism that took place at the Herlear Substation.
It is reported that electricians have detected the defective and damaged cables. According to the spokesperson of the Sol Plaatje Municipality, repairs are underway and power should return to all affected areas. However, due to the vandalised parts that need to be outsourced, repairs might be delayed.
