Free State license center invites public to use services─── 13:35 Wed, 06 Jul 2022
Free State motorists have been invited to renew their expired license discs, apply for change of ownership, and motor vehicle licensing at the Medfontein Building in Bloemfontein.
The Department of Police, Roads and Transport’s (DPRT) spokesperson, Hillary Mophethe, says the department took this step to raise awareness, as they see motorists are struggling because the Lengau Testing and Traffic Centre is sometimes overwhelmed.
“Some people do make use of them, some don’t. Hence, we took the responsibility to just make it a public notice. People are desperate; Lengau gets very full. My City is a big station, but the demand of services at that centre is very high. So, we are also trying to relieve pressure from that side, especially on renewal of motor vehicle licensing.”
The Medfontein Bulding will offer these services from Mondays to Fridays, between 07H30 and 14H00, while offices will be open until 16H00 for enquires.
