North West Health in spotlight─── KEKELETSO MOSEBETSI 09:45 Wed, 20 Jul 2022
Issues surrounding the North West healthcare system are expected to come into the spotlight on Thursday.
This as Ritshidze – a community-led monitoring system developed by several HIV-related organisations, like the Treatment Action Campaign, Positive Action Campaign, and Positive Women’s Network, among others – will be releasing a report regarding the North West healthcare system. Issues expected to be presented, include stockouts, long queues or waiting times, staffing levels, and the attitude of staff at healthcare facilities.
Ritshidze will also present personal experiences of people living with HIV, key populations, and other public healthcare users. The report is also expected to show progress that has been made in the last year, where the department has committed to making changes, and what still needs to improve within the provincial healthcare system.
