Thaba Nchu's Tlotlanang Combined School teacher, Enid Oguoma, said the learners are learning robotics as an extra-mural activity. She told OFM News that she is excited about the opportunity presented to the learners, and this has given them exposure to careers relating to 4IR technology.

"These learners are so excited about robotics. We were trained by the Central University of Technology last year. They came to our school and they trained us on how to use the programme. After we learned about the programme, they just took the project upon themselves. First, they did the robots on the programme, then they went online to get other programmes to get other interesting robots."

The Central University of Technology, Free State, in collaboration with the Free State Provincial Government, have trained over 4000 people since the first 4IR summit in 2019.

Free State Premier Sisi Ntombela said she is happy about how a R5 million contribution to CUT has been used.
