Job seekers are being contacted by possible scammers offering jobs to people at the Pelonomi Hospital in Bloemfontein at a cost.
A Facebook user claims that he had been contacted from a number that is not a landline. He says the person on the other end says he should pay R1500 after signing his letter of appointment.
Mondli Mvambi, spokesperson for the Free State Department of Health, says the department would like to warn the public about job scammers that pose as departmental officials.
He added that the Department does not require anyone to pay for an interview or a job offer. Furthermore, the Department does not demand anything from job applicants, except for them to submit their applications on time and fulfilling all the stated requirements in the adverts. "Please do not fall victim to these scams," he concluded.
