Update on disruptions to parts of Mangaung's water supply─── ZENANDE MPAME 15:20 Thu, 09 Mar 2023
Residents in Bloemfontein have been informed by the Mangaung Metro Municipality that efforts are still being made to remedy the problems with raw water pumping at the Welbedacht water treatment facility.
Water tankers have been sent to the majority of the impacted, high-lying areas, although water supply outages are still affecting some neighbourhoods.
According to metro spokesperson, Qondile Khedama, the system is expected to recover within 24 hours.
Several main reservoirs' levels have been affected, such as Brandkop, De Hoek, and Uitkyk. These are supplied by the mainline from the Welbedacht Dam to Bloemfontein.

Residents will be updated regularly on the progress of water restoration. The Mangaung Metro has apologised for the inconvenience caused.
