DA bemoans deteriorating economic and social conditions in Free State─── 09:30 Fri, 28 Apr 2023
The Democratic Alliance (DA) says Freedom Day should represent a day of celebration for the 2,9 million people in the Free State.
However, one million people in the province are dependent on social grants, while deteriorating economic and social conditions of residents of our province have rendered 62% to be classified as 'living in poverty'.
DA Provincial Leader Roy Jankielsohn says the province has an abundance of resources, is centrally placed, has many educational institutions, and is blessed with wonderful people.

This dire situation is exacerbated by ongoing increases in the cost of living, loadshedding and deteriorating basic services and infrastructure.
"The DA believes in the potential of our province and its people, and we want the people of the Free State to believe in the DA’s ability to deliver them real freedom, freedom that they can use. The DA remains the voice of the voiceless and the only hope for a better future for all our people in the Free State," Jankielsohn concluded.
