MAP Water urges residents to be patient a little longer─── 12:56 Fri, 02 Jun 2023
Residents of Kestell, Bluegumbosch, and Snake Park in the Eastern Free State have been urged to be patient a little longer as water returns to their taps.
It's been about three days now since they have been without a water supply due to a burst pipe at the Sterkfontein Dam at Harrismith.
Maluti-a-Phofung Water spokesperson, Tebogo Kwakwa, said on Friday morning her team had already done the job, but not all areas will get water at the same time as the water will take time to reach higher-lying regions.
She added pumping was also being delayed by load-shedding.
She apologised to the affected residents and urged them to request water trucks.
