“Now we've got a chance to win another piece of silverware. The boys are keen, raring to go and we cannot what to get to Bloem and put up another good performance and put the boys under pressure.”

The Northern Cape Heat will be heading to Bloemfontein with a lot of confidence on Thursday when they face the ITEC Knights in the second semi-final of the CSA T20 Challenge.

Last week the Heat and Knights were meant to square off in the last round of group matches, but the game in Kimberley was called off without a ball being bowled because of a wet outfield and square.

Earlier in the season the Heat beat the Knights in the final of the 4-Day series to win the competition for a third season in a row.

The Heat captain, Grant Thomson, told OFM Sport that they are ready.

“Two trophies in a season in always a treat,” said Thomson.

“Especially after our slow start to the season, our One-Day campaign wasn't the best, and then to bounce back and win the 4-Day competition.

“Now we've got a chance to win another piece of silverware. The boys are keen, raring to go and we cannot what to get to Bloem and put up another good performance and put the boys under pressure.”

Wednesday’s game at the Mangaung Oval gets underway at 13:00. This afternoon the Limpopo Impalas will face the Eastern Cape Iinyathi in Polokwane.
