Tatane murder trial to resume in Ficksburg today─── 08:18 Mon, 18 Mar 2013

Ficksburg - The trial of seven policemen charged with killing protester Andries Tatane is set to resume in the Ficksburg Regional Court today.
The case was postponed earlier this month because the policemen's defence lawyer Johann Nel was in hospital.
Tatane was killed in April 2011, allegedly by police using rubber bullets, during a service delivery protest in Ficksburg.
Last year, the case was postponed after the State cast doubt on its own witness, Matshidiso Lesomola.
He had been deployed in an observer capacity at the service delivery protest. Prosecutor Sello Mathloko said Lesomola's testimony was different to the statement he gave to the Independent Police Investigative Directorate a few days after the shooting.
