7 killed in BFN accident─── 16:12 Sun, 30 Mar 2014
Bloemfontein - Seven people, including a one-year-old, were killed and four others were injured when a Toyota Fortuner and a truck collided in Bloemfontein on Sunday, paramedics said.
The Fortuner was ripped apart and the truck overturned on the N1 towards Cape Town, ER24 spokesman Werner Vermaak said.
"It appears that some of the occupants were flung from the vehicle during the collision."
Three occupants of the car were rushed to nearby hospitals. The fourth person had minor injuries. The cause of the accident was not known and local authorities were investigating.
