Two alleged farm attackers face murder charges after a FS farmer dies─── 13:19 Tue, 05 Aug 2014

Bloemfontein - Free State police believe the two suspects who are in police custody after allegedly attacking an elderly couple on their farm at Vierfontein between Orkney and Bothaville last month could be charged with murder and not attempted murder as before.
This comes after 81-year-old Buks Swanepoel died on his Sterkfontein farm last night after the attack on July 21. Police spokesperson Stephen Thakeng says Swanepoel and his 80-year-old wife Baby were attacked allegedly by 23-year-old Tankiso Beleme from Lesotho and 20-year-old Thuli Thabata from Orkney.
Swanepoel sustained a serious skull fracture during the attack and his health had deteriorated since then. OFM News yesterday reported the couple were released from the Life Anncron Hospital in Klerksdorp but family members were still concerned over Buks's health as he suffered from heart problems and was on oxygen. The two suspects will be back in court on August 19. They also face charges of armed robbery.
Beleme is also charged for possession of a stolen weapon. Swanepoel’s wife sustained a skull fracture and cut wounds during the attack.Police Spokesperson:
