Ficksburg - DA councillors at the Setsoto Municipality have refused to sign an 'Oath of Secrecy' that the municipal speaker issued during a council meeting in Ficksburg.
According to the DA’s David van Vuuren, the municipality forced local councillors last week to sign the oath in order to protect the security of the country.
Van Vuuren says what the municipality is doing is against the constitution and not transparent.

He says the question begs what sort of information within the Setsoto Local Municipality may threaten the security of the Republic.
