When ER24 paramedics arrived on scene, they found the bakkie lying on its roof while the light motor vehicle sat upright on the side of the road. It was evident that the light motor vehicle had rolled multiple times.

On assessment, paramedics found the lifeless body of a woman lying next to the light motor vehicle. Unfortunately the woman had already succumbed to her injuries after she was ejected from the vehicle. Six other patients were found lying around the light motor vehicle, one of the patients, a man, lay critically injured.

Paramedics began their treatment and provided the critically injured patient with advanced life support interventions. Once treated, the critically injured patient was airlifted by the ER24 Helicopter to Mediclinic Sandton for urgent treatment.

The remaining patients were treated for their injuries and thereafter transported to various facilities for further assessment.
