State of Oranje Hospital is appalling - NCOP─── KATLEHO MORAPELA 11:01 Thu, 24 Aug 2017
The National Council of Provinces (NCOP) says Free State Treasury should pump money into the Health Department.
This after they requested to see financial statements of the Free State Psychiatric Complex, known as Oranje Hospital. Responding to challenges faced by this hospital in Bloemfontein, the Council says the state of the hospital is appalling and Treasury urgently needs to keep track of how money is spent to improve the state of health in the province.
The Council is currently on a week-long oversight visit to public healthcare facilities in the province. OFM News' Katleho Morapela reports that the Council has made an urgent call to the provincial government to resolve the issues faced by the institution.
