Marikana murder accused want charges dropped─── 11:47 Sat, 14 Oct 2017

Rustenburg - Lawyers representing 19 men accused of the first Marikana killings four years ago, have filed an application with the High Court in Pretoria, for charges against their clients to be either dropped or reviewed.
SABC reports the men allegedly killed 10 people in August 2013 in the days before police killed 34 mineworkers.
A pre-trial hearing was held yesterday against Anele Zonke and 18 co-accused at the North West High Court sitting in Mogwase.
President Jacob Zuma and then Police Commissioner Riah Phiyega has been listed as their respondents in their review application.
The State alleges that the accused killed two policemen, two Lonmin security officers and six non-striking workers.
The case has been set for February 12, 2018 pending judgment of their application.
