Freedom Day celebrations underway in Bloemfontein (OFM News)
As national Freedom Day celebrations are underway at the Dr Rantlai Molemela stadium in Bloemfontein today, OFM News took to the streets to find out what Freedom Day means to people.
Today marks South Africa’s 24th Freedom Day, a day when South Africans celebrate and commemorate the country’s first democratic elections, held in 1994 where all South Africans, irrespective of race, colour or creed, could vote so long as they were of voting age.
This day is being celebrated in a plethora of ways, with events held countrywide.
