The first suspect, aged 26, was arrested at his residence after being found in possession of 83,90 kg of dagga. 

Further probes led the police to the second suspect's place in the same neighbourhood. 

The suspect, who is 30 years old, was allegedly found in possession of approximately 40 tablets suspected to be mandrax. He was also arrested.

They are expected to appear in the Bloemhof Magistrate's Court on Monday, 14 May 2018, facing charges of possession of drugs.  

The North West Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Baile Motswenyane, lauded the members and the public for their collaboration that culminated in the arrests. 

She said that alone, the police will not be successful in the fight against crime.
