Former Free State MEC and ANC provincial treasurer, Mxolisi Dukwana, is committing himself to testify before the Zondo Commission of Inquiry into allegations of State Capture.

This, after he filed an urgent court application to have the Free State premier’s office and departments’ to avail documents that would potentially prove how billions have been looted out of the province.

In an exclusive interview with OFM News, Dukwana said between the period of 2009 and 2012, whilst he was an MEC, his department was involved in a multi-million rand project, which could prove how this province has been captured. Judgement on Dukwana’s application - to be granted a permanent access - is expected to be heard on October the 25th after the case was postponed on Thursday.

Dukwana’s actions come just weeks after the commission led by Deputy Chief Justice Raymond Zondo revealed that under former Free State premier, Ace Magashule, the office of the premier spent an exorbitant amount of R79.3 million on the Gupta-owned newspaper, The New Age, and that the province coughed up the most as compared to the other eight provinces that spent money on the newspaper and TNA business breakfasts.
