Potchefstroom - A reported plane crash near Potchefstroom has been confirmed as an emergency landing of a helicopter. Paramedics were called out to what was thought to be a light aircraft crash this afternoon. After arriving they found that it was a South African National Defense force helicopter which experienced a hard landing. The Agusta 109, which was flying from 17 Squadron in Pretoria, was carrying a pilot, flight engineer and 3 passengers. There were no injuries.
