ANC denies that ousted Tlokwe mayor was redeployed─── DANE BEISHEIM 09:55 Tue, 19 Nov 2013

Potchefstroom - The ANC in North West has denied that former Tlokwe mayor Maphetle Maphetle, who is being investigated for alleged corruption, has been redeployed.
Maphetle was appointed as executive manager of corporate services in the North West legislature.
ANC spokesperson, Ishmael Mnisi said Maphetle wasn't redeployed, he applied for the job and was accepted.
Maphetle, who was twice unseated as mayor, last month abandoned attempts to reclaim his position as mayor following two separate motions of no confidence against him, which paved the way for DA councillor Annette Combrink to take his seat in the town council.
DA Leader in North West Chris Hattingh says Maphetle was in fact redeployed, and the party will raise objection to his appointment.
