Durban - English paper one, History and Physical Science are among the subjects being audited by monitoring body Umalusi and the KZN education department.
Hearings into incidents of mass cheating during the 2014 matric examination started in Durban today. National spokesperson for the education department, Elijah Mhlanga says 20 exam centres in KZN are under investigation.
Mhlanga also said Matriculants found to have cheated could be banned from writing matric for the next three years. In addition officials found to be complicit in suspected mass cheating could face criminal charges.
