Alleged criminals assaulted by angry mob─── 09:45 Sat, 30 Jan 2021
Sebokeng residents in the Vaal Triangle took the law into their own hands, by assaulting a group of suspected criminals.
This comes as the alleged criminals were seen in the early hours of Friday morning, in possession of what appeared to be stolen property - including two laptops, and a television.
Owners of some of the reported stolen property - who were chasing these criminals - soon arrived at the scene and the assault commenced.
Sebokeng police arrived during the assault, however soon left without making any arrests.
One of the assaulted criminals had stitches on his head, as he was only discharged from hospital last week, after he was assaulted by other community members in December, for an alleged house break-in.
Six members of the angry mob fled the scene.
Meanwhile no formal case has been opened with the police.
