The Bloemfontein Magistrate's Court vicinity is abuzz with activity and high police visibility. This, as the husband of Lesedi FM presenter Dimakatso Ratselane is expected to make his first court appearance.

The 39-year-old Mackenzie Ratselane stands accused of stabbing her many times last week. He was nabbed while in hiding in Gauteng after a warrant of arrest was issued for him. The well-known Lesedi FM presenter was found last Thursday by community members in a critical condition, with multiple stab wounds. The provincial police spokesperson, Motantsi Makhele, in a statement said prior to the attack, she allegedly had an argument with her husband on their way to pick up their children. The OFM News team reports from court that the case against the 39-year-old Ratselane is soon expected to be heard in room 20.

There is a high media contingency outside the courtroom where Ratselane is expected to appear. The police are also present in their high numbers.

Meanwhile, Dimakatso is said to be recovering well in hospital.
