This, as the Department of Correctional Services in the province is expected to announce the results of those who wrote their National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations during a well-done function. 

The department confirmed the event at the Tswelopele Correctional Centre in Kimberley is set to inspire other offenders to continue with their studies as part of their rehabilitation programme and to help them prepare for life beyond their sentence. 

Correctional Services’ Regional Commissioner for the Free State and Northern Cape, Subashini Moodley, as well as the MEC for Education in the province, are amongst those expected to attend. 

OFM News previously reported that the Tswelopele Correctional Centre in Kimberley is amongst those that have been outlined by Correctional Services and Justice Minister Ronald Lamola as amongst those where hundreds of offenders are set to be considered for the special parole dispensation to curb the spread of the coronavirus in correctional facilities.
