I truly believe that we are a championship team - Davis─── MORGAN PIEK 07:48 Tue, 10 May 2022
The Toyota Cheetahs will be targeting an 80-minute performance on Saturday afternoon when they tackle the Sharks in Bloemfontein in the Currie Cup.
While the Cheetahs have not tasted defeat in the Currie Cup yet, they have been made to dig deep in numerous of their games.
Attack is the team's main focus this week while they also want to sharpen up on their defence, although they’ve conceded the least amount of tries.
The Cheetahs lock, Aidon Davis, told OFM Sport while they believe they are a championship team, they need to play a full game.
“Discipline let us down against the Lions in the first half, but we fought back in the second forty and found a way to win.
“It feels to me as if championship teams find a way to win and I truly believe that we are a championship team.
“In saying that - we want to stand and finish well and play an 80-minute game. We don't want to leave it until the last minute.
“We look forward to playing at home this weekend and put in an 80-minute performance.”
It is expected that the Sharks could load their team with URC players in order to give them some valuable game time ahead of their crucial match against Ulster in Belfast next week.
Saturday’s game at the Toyota Stadium kicks off at 14:30.
